| The Robert Bateman Get to Know Program is an educational initiative designed to help youth connect with the natural world. Robert Bateman launched the Get to Know Program in British Columbia in 2000 to address the disconnect between youth and the natural world. The program has been wildly successful, and has since expanded to reach into every Canadian province and territory. Today, the Get to Know program has been used by over 290,000 students in more than 29,000 schools across Canada. Visit the Get to Know website to learn more about the program, why it is important for youth to “get to know their wild neighbours,” and how you can get involved. |
